Planned obsolescence is a series formed by different technological sculptures of objects that lack identity but remain recognisable due to their physical appearance, which is artificially illuminated from their interior. This series of sculptures reflects on the ongoing technological revolution, which may lead to the singularity concept predicted by the futurist Raymond Kurzweil. This concept proposes that our ever-increasing technological advances will completely dominate the world, causing irreversible changes to human civilisation. I present the posthumanist point of view by featuring certain objects that have been essential to our history but are destined to be superseded by new technologies, such as books.
